1701 Walnut St, Philadelphia“Thirteen classes in, YogaSix Rittenhouse has become one of the most dependable studios in my Philadelphia fitness life. It sits on the fifth floor of the Allman Building at 17th and Walnut, hidden above one of the busiest corners in Center City. I have enjoyed all 13 classes and always leave feeling better, grateful I came, and more settled in my body.
My history here includes Power Flow, Slow Flow, and Signature Hot. I have also taken Sculpt, Mix, and Restore, as well as a Hot/Sculpt/Restore hybrid. Most of my classes have been heated and rooted in vinyasa, with Power Flow providing the strongest athletic challenge, Slow Flow allowing more time for alignment, and Restore keeping the work closer to the ground. The formats are clearly defined, yet the teaching has remained remarkably consistent across the schedule.
The studio is a strong example of the Xponential Fitness model working incredibly well. Xponential is the publicly traded parent company behind YogaSix, Club Pilates, and StretchLab. Its current portfolio also includes Pure Barre and BFT. The company fills an important place in the fitness market by scaling instructor training, studio operations, and programming while allowing a location like this one to retain its own character.
YogaSix’s lobby is bright, white, and uplifting, with huge windows that make the fifth floor feel open to the city. The single-occupancy bathrooms have always been exceptionally clean, and there is a substantial retail selection of yoga apparel and gear. I do not recall showers, so I have always approached it as a come-ready studio. Classes have generally drawn 10 to 20 people, creating a real collective energy while giving everyone enough room.
I come here when I want therapeutic work through my shoulders, wrists, and core, especially the stabilizing muscles that plank work reaches so effectively. I have also overdone planks and pull-ups over the years, leaving those joints locked up, so lately I have leaned more toward Bikram for its emphasis on my upper legs (quads and hamstrings) and lower back. That experience has helped me understand the precise role YogaSix fills: athletic yoga with enough variety to support the body rather than exhaust it.
Lastly, the pricing has always felt fair for the quality of the studio, instruction, and overall experience. Life and budget have changed, so I have not been here lately, but I will absolutely return when I can. YogaSix Rittenhouse is polished without feeling generic, consistent without losing its personality, and one of the best expressions of scaled-boutique yoga I have encountered.“

“I returned to yoga after a 4-year break and I am very glad that I chose Maha Yoga to resume my regular yoga classes. Love the coziness of the studio and overall ambience. What I value most about the classes is that even though a flow may be physically demanding, the teachers always provide various options for different fitness levels and keep focus on harmonization of body and mind which is a very true yoga thing. Compared to the studios that turn yoga into a workout aimed at athleticism, Maha is truly a breath of fresh air.“

“I tried a couple yoga studios in Northern Liberties and ultimately landed on Tula because it had such a warm, welcoming feel and a variety of classes. I have been attending regularly (3-4 x a week) for the past couple months and cannot recommend it enough. If you go there, make sure you check out Teagan's classes which will make you feel incredible after and Judy's yoga sculpt which will have you SWEATING.
Another cute plus is their adorable swag (I think it's half my wardrobe at this point).
5 stars all around!“
