“I must first say that I was nervous about going to a new dental practice but all that dissolved away at my first visit. Actually it began before I got there through my initial conversation with the receptionist. I was treated as a valued client from the outset and was very pleased with all my interactions with various staff members. The X-ray procedure was skillfully and kindly handled and was truly the most comfortable full-mouth X-ray I have ever experienced.

Dr. Manji and Carla were simply amazing at putting me at ease. I was also very impressed with the high level of respectfulness they exhibited in communicating with each other throughout my subsequent treatments. Generous use of 'please' and 'thank you' among them felt so positive and re-assuring. It spoke volumes of their solid commitment to being excellent in their professions. The cleanliness of the entire office and the state-of-the art facilities and equipment were very re-assuring and impressive to behold.

I also truly appreciate the opportunity to participate in a no-interest payment plan, while getting my dental house back in order. I’ve had numerous fillings done here, and the cleanings are phenomenal with hygienist Samantha. Her attention to detail is top-notch, and she has the softest hands—you’ll have a great, comfortable experience in her chair.

“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming front desk team. The staff quickly got me settled and took my X-rays, making the process smooth and comfortable.
I was assisted by Natalie, who was personable, down-to-earth, professional and incredibly thorough. She performed a very detailed cleaning and provided so much helpful information throughout the visit. By the time Dr. Jerry came in to check on me and ask if I had any questions, Natalie had already done such a comprehensive evaluation and explanation that I didn’t have any questions left to ask.
After my cleaning, I met with Angelica, who clearly explained my treatment plan, the associated costs and what my insurance would cover. She made everything easy to understand and helped me feel confident about moving forward.

“The short version: this is how the dentist should be. A comfortable space, nice people, quick/easy/painless experience, and actually reasonable price. I have no notes.

Longer version: I promise this isn’t a paid review lol. This is actually one of the first reviews I’ve written. I felt compelled…because I grew up with a great dentist in my hometown, and when I tried to find a new dentist in Brooklyn, I mostly found overpriced “boutique” options, or cheap options with bad reviews — but then Reddit led me to SmileLounge, and the experience ended up being better than my old dentist, and for a fair/average price of $295 for first time cleaning + exam.

I called and got an appointment next day. The waiting room was clean/modern, and it even smelled good (incense or infused oils?). The music playing overhead was quiet and chill (frank ocean). Front desk woman very nice. Only had to wait about five minutes to be seen.

The small/medium sized exam room was also clean and comfortable. There’s a TV in front of you when you sit in the chair—they had British Bake Show on, muted with subtitles, it was calming. Hygienist was pleasant and friendly, but also not too talkative! Overall, she was quick and efficient and thorough. She started with quick easy X-rays, then took some actual photos (you get to see the up-close video or your mouth on the screen in front of you—was interesting to actually see where I had build-up, etc). She then asked if I wanted any numbing gel before cleaning. I told her I don’t think I need it (haven’t used it before or been offered it before at other offices). But she said I’m gonna go ahead and put some on your bottom gums (why not?). She mostly used the pressurized water to clean. I basically didn’t feel any pain. Even with the actual metal scraper tool. There was one moment where I winced a bit, and without being asked she put a small amount of numbing gel on that specific part of my gums. The cleaning only took about 20 minutes.

The main dentist then came in immediately to review (I’ve had to wait around a while for this final stage at other dentists). She was also very friendly and informative. She only suggested that a mouth guard could be helpful, and explained why, based on the unique wear of my teeth. But she didn’t push it too hard or pressure me, just wanted me to be aware.

The entire experience was only about 45 minutes. Chill and painless, even pleasant. I signed up for a membership. A good deal for good treatment, compared to other dentist offices.“
