Bedford Martial Arts Academy is a business that offers martial arts programs for individuals aged 3 to adult, as well as an after-school program with pick-up from local schools and camps. The dojo is described as fantastic with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The instructors are kind and create a fun, yet challenging class that keeps students engaged and learning. They are praised for meeting students where they are and providing encouragement and support. The academy has been instrumental in helping children gain confidence and skill. The staff is amazing, kind, patient and offer a stern presence when needed. They really take the time to understand the needs of each child. It is an accepting environment where students have truly flourished. The academy also hosts seasonal events and parties that are enjoyable for children.
I love this place. It's not super uptight, but still is challenging. As with anything, you get out what you put in. I need to put more into it myself, but am definitely happy with where I am at based on their part in it.
We are so happy with our experience at BMA! Our 4-year-old has absolutely loved attending classes, and the instructors have been incredibly patient, kind, and respectful every step of the way. They have such a wonderful way of working with young children — encouraging confidence, connection, and fun all at the same time.
The instructors truly make every child feel seen and supported, and it’s amazing to watch how much our child has grown both socially and emotionally since starting. We are so grateful for the positive environment they create and highly recommend this dojo to any family with young kids!
My grandson started attending this place fairly recently. I cannot say enough good about how respect is given and received here. A delightful experience for youngsters and their parents who attend with smiles. Step by step, karate is learned. Go go go!
