The Waynesville Inn & Golf Club is a truly beautiful and unique place to stay, especially if you appreciate charm and history. The hotel is nearly a century old (99 years!), and it carries that vintage character in a really cool way.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Their customer service really stood out and made a big difference in our experience.
Our first night was in the original building, which was nicely furnished and definitely full of charm.
The next night, we were moved to a room at Brookside, and it was a great upgrade. The view was absolutely stunning.

Beautiful location, quaint rooms (although a fridge would have been nice), the food and service for dinner was great too. The reason I'm knocking off a star is because when we got our bill for food there was an automatic gratuity of 20% added to our bill at the restaurant and the waitress did not tell us. I was adding a very large tip when I noticed it and I asked her and she said oh yeah they just add that automatically. Please let your customers know in advance - it was not on the menu. I would have left more (as was my intention) but sneakily adding it in was really deceptive.
Came down here for a weekend, first time visiting. Really enjoyed the golf course, tons of gorgeous views. Steven, the pro was excellent and make sure everything was setup. Food choices were great, they smoke some of the food daily. Get yourself a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, won’t be disappointed. Very good grounds, gym is really big, I will definitely be back.
