Physical Therapy in Waynesville

“After a knee injury in the spring (May 14) from a lawn mower incident, I was receiving conflicting diagnosis’s. I torn my MPFL, meniscus and had a fractured knee cap. I truly wanted to avoid surgery. After two doctors wanting to do major surgery, third times the charm, my current orthopedic doctor gave me a PT referral. Lucky for me, I was put with Ryan in the Waynesville office. Exactly 5 months (Oct 14) after my injury I was released and can truly say everything he helped me with during my time there has gotten me back to normal. I have no knee pain, can workout normally, squat, lunge and bend down to put pressure on my knee. 1000000% recommend Smoky Mountain Sports Medicine. Though I’m partial to Ryan, all of the physical therapist do tremendous things with their patients. Though it’s serious work, lots of laughs were had. I did not know you do not have to have a doctors referral for PT - anyone can reach out with neck pain, ankle, etc. they can and will help you. I can honestly say, every therapist in there love their job and you can tell. The front desk staff couldn’t be nicer, and Amy is awesome, an insurance whiz! Now….to find my next injury so I can come back to have some more PT ?“
