“Highly recommend everyone swing by and check this place out! If you’ve never fought or your seasoned veteran of combat sports this spot is the bees knees! This is hands down one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been to and the lessons are even cleaner! I’ve been taking my son for the Dutch classes that are free to the public every week for a limited time and we are absolutely enjoying learning more about kickboxing as well as fighting each other! I could go on for days about how much I love this place but I will leave you with this! This is a safe space for any and everyone and they offer 45 classes per week which include Bjj, kickboxing, wrestling and even a yoga class!

“Our daughter has been training at Championship Martial Arts (CMA) in Cary, NC for almost four years, and it’s been a great experience for our family. The dojo has a welcoming, family-oriented feel, but there’s also a strong emphasis on earning everything. The instructors are supportive while still pushing the kids to grow and take pride in their progress.

We’ve seen a big difference in our daughter’s confidence, discipline, and focus—both in martial arts and outside of it. CMA also does a great job building community through events like their Halloween trunk-or-treat, holiday and summer potlucks, and an in-school karate tournament each year.

The program goes beyond just physical training, with exposure to Japanese language and culture as well as practical self-defense. We were a little unsure about weapons training at first, but it’s handled with a strong focus on safety and respect, and the kids really enjoy it.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick recommendation for a great local activity that has been a wonderful experience for our family over the last three years.

My son and husband have both been training at a traditional martial arts dojo here in Apex, and the impact has been amazing. It’s run by a 8th degree Black Belt, Mr. Houston, who is incredibly patient and has a real gift for working with kids. He manages to teach discipline in a way that feels natural and easy for them to grasp, rather than forced.

The environment there really feels like home—it’s very welcoming and has a lot of space for the kids to move around. Mrs. Houston is also there and is wonderful at teaching them to be respectful while still keeping things fun and playful.

We feel blessed to have Ms. Katherine who teaches how to perfect their moves at dojo.

If you’re looking for something that builds focus and confidence (or just a great way for them to burn off energy in a positive environment!), I can’t recommend them enough.“
