“It has taken me far too long to leave this review and for that I apologize. We took our 17 month old to get his first haircut. After a bit of research we found Styles & Smiles in Jacksonville NC and the reviews lead us to believe that Ms Alex was amazing. These reviews did not let us down or lead us astray.

We scheduled an appointment and went in not knowing how our toddler was going to react to having his haircut and hoped for the best.

When it was our turn our toddler was a little apprehensive because the child before him was very upset. We helped him in choosing a car to ride into his first haircut, he chose the fire truck, and Ms Alex went to work!

She was absolutely amazing and our little boy did so well during the whole visit. He was excited to choose a treat when he was done and since we had signed up for the First Haircut Package mom and dad got a keep sake certificate for the first haircut and a lock of hair.

We definitely will return for future haircuts and will definitely see Ms Alex again! We highly recommend Styles and Smiles for your first haircut and all of those that come after it.“

“Are you looking for a great haircut? Yes? Then you need to see Ylee. She gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. I came in for a big change for the new year. She expertly razor cut my fine, straight hair into a perfect chin-length bob with tons of movement, exactly what I asked for.
Side note: I went cosmetology school with Ylee many, many years ago, but lost touch afterwards. I was looking for a place to get a spur of the moment, new year’s haircut. I read the reviews and saw her name. How many Ylee’s in hair in eastern NC can there be? I walked in and, sure enough, it was her. She was awesome then and still is.“

“Arleah and Staff are fantastic!! The place isn't up like a pool hall and has a great vibe. It is cash only and they do have an ATM on site. Very clean with a 100% sanitation score. The place stays very busy so I highly recommend making an appointment. The bathroom is super cute and they also do eyelash extensions and waxing!“

“Lillie is absolutely amazing! Incredibly attentive, super sweet, and my cut and color came out even better than I could’ve imagined! She verified how much I wanted cut off and gave me options and showed me what a few inches would be (I’m a visual person) without even having to ask her. She checked in during the process and cut and made sure I loved it. She offered me beverages several times and I didn’t feel alone because she actually checked in multiple times instead of just leaving me alone the whole processing time!
