“I have been coming here for over 30 years. The doctors here are great, even help detected a detached retina which probably saved the vision in my right after rushing to Duke. However, my last experience wasn't so great with the optical dispensary on the first floor. After picking up a pair of sunglasses that I had made with my prescription from upstairs, which I only wore a few days over the weekend, I noticed that there was a bright light between the frame and the lens at the top that was shining through. I stopped in Monday and asked them if they could look them. She brought them to her manager in the back, well under a minute (didn't have time to remove the lens). She came right back out, handed the glasses to me saying nothing you can do, It's your prescription. I left feeling frustrated, that I've wasted money. The next week, after posting a not so great review, Dr Raynor call me to have me come in and fix my problem. Took another 4 weeks, but now my lenses are much better.

“I had a great experience at the Vision Center inside Walmart thanks to Patricia and Simone. From the moment I walked in, they were both extremely helpful and genuinely focused on making sure I got exactly what I needed—not just making a sale.

They went out of their way to try and accommodate my request by calling multiple locations and checking availability for me for the new Oakley Meta glasses. Even though they ultimately didn’t have what I was looking for in-store, they didn’t just leave it at that. Instead, they pointed me in the right direction and recommended I visit LensCrafters so I could try the frames on in person before purchasing.

What stood out most was their honesty and professionalism. They made it clear they didn’t want to push a product on me without me being confident in my choice, which says a lot about their customer service. That level of care and integrity is rare and definitely appreciated.

“I just took my neighbor to the WalMart eye center, and was pleasantly surprised. She called and got an appointment the next day. I did not expect much because of the location. I sat with her through her exam. The optometrist Dr Andrew Lovsin was so amazingly professional and detail-oriented. My neighbor had very bad vision, and he explained her problem in simple language. What a pro !“
