My 83 year old Mom ran circles around me before her back to back acute strokes September 2 and 3, 2021.She chose intensive in patient rehab through High Point Regional/ Wake Forest Baptist High Point and successfully completed their program and was discharged to Advanced in home rehab both physical therapy and occupational therapy. We weren’t given options of other agencies for these services.Her occupational therapist is fabulous and I definitely want to keep her!!!Her physical therapist said today Mom had plateaued and has been insistent on another rehab facility that isn’t my Mom’s best fit. If you want to recover from acute strokes please ask your insurance company for their referrals. I can’t recommend this PT/OT provider.Speaking with the office doesn’t resolve anything. I appealed my discharge and won my appeal but Advanced Home Healthcare had no desire to continue working with me.I could continue because my insurance does cover visits with a small copay. I’ll be searching for another person or company for PT.
