About Cape Fear Dog Training Club
Cape Fear Dog Training Club, the oldest dog training club in North Carolina, is a not-for-profit organization licensed by the American Kennel Club. Established in 1952, they offer dog training classes for both house manners and competition obedience. Reviewers praise the club's knowledgeable and professional instructors, who create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The club is described as a great place to learn, with high-quality instruction and supportive members. One reviewer, who drives two hours to attend classes, emphasizes the club's commitment to competitive obedience training. Another reviewer, who has trained service dogs and participated in shows and trials, highlights the club's welcoming nature and helpfulness in acquiring new training methods. While one reviewer had a negative experience, other reviewers state that the experience was exaggerated and that the reviewer was informed that the event was private.
To say I’m impressed is an understatement. We had a private lesson for one on one training and our instructor, not only had the knowledge, experience and technique but also the perfect touch, vibration and energy to handle my fur baby. It was not only about training my dog but teaching me the proper approach. An amazing experience! Highly recommend!
I LOVED the Team at Cape Fear Dog Training Club! My puppy Tobias 6mos has had some training before but I wanted to have scheduled bonding time with him and continue his socialization in a structured and safe environment. We signed up for the Basic Obedience Class. They taught Tobias so much - and me even more!
He got lots of chances to be neutral around other dogs and they ensured everyone’s safety all around. He got to do fun things like indoor park/ obstacle courses and even learned a couple of tricks! We went to a 6pm Monday evening class and it lasted 8 weeks. The cost was $125 and worth every penny!
