Crouse Home Services Windows Installation

“Mr. ********************* and his helpers of Crouse Home Services started the project around April 1 and finished around June 10, 2022. The project was to tile a screened-in room, sized 12x10. I purchased materials except one for $416.84, which was billed in the first invoice. They started by taking up the plywood floor, and they found that there were no joists to hold the cement board and tile. They added the joists and put the concrete board down, but it had to dry for 4 and a half weeks. They came back and put down the tile, they didnt clean up the thin-set and grout properly, so they had to come back and take a chisel to scrape up the dried grout. That took a week and a half. Then ************** came back and put the sealant on the tile grout and put down baseboards in the gap areas. To me, the job is acceptable, NOT wonderful. They left a mess I had to clean up. The first invoice was $3,867.05, which included $130 for their processing fee. I provided them with credit card information and they ran it through some system that they said rejected my payment. So, for the next 3 ********************* kept calling me, telling me I had to call my bank because they didnt receive payment. My bank is ***** Fargo and they were fantastic. They provide me with a receipt when Crouse Home Services did not. They assured me my payment was processed to the correct vendor, and when I suspected fraud, they called Crouse Home Services to confirm payment and the harassing phone calls stopped. With the second invoice, for $2,950.23, I took a cash advance, get a certified check and send it via certified mail return receipt requested. All and all, this company is a hassle to deal with, the full details are gruesome. My material costs were $818.76, so in total, the project cost $7,636.04. I believe I've overpaid for this project, due to sloppy accounting, sloppy workmanship, and excess material costs.“
