Having passed this place countless times before, it was a surprise to learn just what “Maurice’s” was after a search for local barber shops; a “BARBER” banner would have saved me time, and an unfortunate visit to another shop in the area, as the location is very convenient.
Warmly greeted, I didn’t have to wait long for a seat in the chair, and after a quick consult, I agreed to the suggestion of a few layers, despite only coming in for a beard trim and to have my ends cut; next thing I knew, the trimmers were trimming, and trimming, and trimming; as she said at the end, my wings had indeed been clipped.

Maurice Barber Shop was located in Highland Village the first time I got my hair cut there in 1970. My mother and I had just moved to Jackson and she insisted I get a haircut before starting Chastain Middle School.I noticed Maurice's when I moved back to Jackson in 2008. Different barber but same friendly, competant, service as I remembered from my youth.I can't think of a reason to go anywhere else for a haircut.
Haven't been this barbershop yet but it's a great amazing opportunity experience wonderful place. U can learn trade here while learning how to cut hair just good. Rate them 5 star all the way thru christ cuz I know it a great place to be at when it nit busy or a full house. When it get full house on the weekends just know they cutting hair all day til they can reach the next person. Be bless much luvz ❤???????
