“I had the honor to see Dr. Pierce for a 2nd opinion after I had a stroke. Unlike the other doctor, Dr. Pierce recommended an inexpensive prism lense from 3M that I could attach to my readers and correct my double vision as I healed. The other office had cut a pair of glasses to address the problem and charged me for new glasses! Had I know that this was an option I would have not agreed to a set being made. Dr. Pierce was aware that I was seeing an eye specialist out of town as well to follow my progress yet he continued to support me and treat me with the most professional care. His staff was fantastic, his office was clean and up to date, and I was very pleased with his service. I highly recommend Dr. Pierce and his office for all eye care needs. Thanks!“

“The exam was pretty straightforward. Everybody there was nice. My insurance took care of most of it. Overall it was a great experience.“

“My doctor here is 5-star. Everyone is nice. But some of the office things aren't great. After getting four reminder texts, and two phone call reminders about the appointment, I walked in to find out they now charge an extra 3% on all bills paid with a credit card. That's fine, but why no heads up when I made the appointment? Or - why did none of those reminder texts, which reminded me I had to pay my bill when I was in the office, include a heads up about the new credit fee? With a $500 plus bill, making sure you have that in your bank for a debit card free use is hard to do after you've walked in. Another example - For the past few years, they've told me (in writing) I could get $100 refund on contacts only to find out that's not correct. Last year I never got the paperwork for the refund after asking several times. Little things like this can be frustrating. But again - LOVE my doc there.“

The optical tech (not sure of her exact title) initiated my appointment on time, did the initial interview, pressure test, visual screening, and OptMap quickly and efficiently. I’m sorry I cannot remember her name. Dr Mitzi Lewis reviewed all the results with me, examined my eyes very carefully, showed me the OptoMap results along with comparison to last year’s results, and provided advice for maintaining my vision. I especially appreciate the eye care she has provided for me. The optician who worked with me was very helpful by assisting me in selection of a frame and ordering my new glasses. She was very efficient. Overall, I was very happy with my appointment at the Vision Clinic in south Springfield.“
