“My son began his taekwondo journey at Pride Martial Arts a year ago, and we have fallen in love with this place, the joyful, charismatic instructors, and the warm community. My husband and I joined in the fun taking classes a few months ago, and we love the challenge and the encouragement we receive. We couldn't recommend Pride with greater enthusiasm. Our son used to doubt his athletic ability, but he has received so much encouragement for his skills and good character. (We also love how welcoming the classes are to students of all backgrounds! It's a very accepting community!) A big thank you to Mr. Nakano, Master Palmer, and the whole team for making this experience so special for all three of us.“

“Pride Martial Arts has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our family. We love the atmosphere, it's always welcoming, encouraging, and full of positive energy. The instructors truly care about each student, and it shows in everything they do.

The changes we’ve seen in my son have been amazing. His confidence has grown, his focus has improved, and he’s developed strong discipline and respect, both inside and outside the studio. Watching him thrive here has been such a gift.

I’m incredibly grateful for the impact Pride Martial Arts has had on him, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a supportive, uplifting place for their child to learn and grow.“

Warriors Academy KC Martial Arts Schools

“I trained at WAKC briefly and found the instructors to go above and beyond in their work with belts white to black, across the board.
Everyone no matter their race, color, or creed was welcome and included equally; Coach Frass and his wonderful group of instructors make you feel at home with his team right from the jump.“

Baer Swords School of Western Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“Baer Swords is a fun, engaging, and interesting way to get in a great workout. They teach Historical European Martial Arts - the art of sword fighting. Beneath Baer Swords' casual, laid-back atmosphere is a wealth of historical knowledge and expertise. This school has produced two fighters ranked in the top 50 best sword fighters in the world. The staff are as friendly as they are knowledgeable. They make an effort to learn your name and ensure everyone is having fun. The simple drills and principles they teach are approachable to anyone. Even people with no background in athletics or martial arts are welcome here. You don't need to be big and muscular to use a sword - techniques such as leverages allow even the smallest of fighters to seize control of an opponent's blade and safely score a hit. Safety is also a big priority of the school. The proper use of protective gear such as helmets, padded jackets, gauntlets, as well as reliable techniques have allowed the school to operate for years safely. Even while using historically-accurate swords as heavy as four pounds, the students can engage each other in sparring without serious injury. In addition to being a great place to learn and work out, Baer Swords is also a community. Between classes the students discuss which swords are coolest, tabletop RPGs, or put to the test whether two axes could beat a pike. Whether you're looking to become a legendary swordsman, or just goof around, Baer Swords is the place to go.“
