“I recently completed the 10 week intro program here and loved it. Have put off trying Capoeira for some time and decided better now than never. The academy was welcoming from the first day I dropped in and there are students of varying levels and all want each other to succeed. Profesora Arara is very knowledgeable and meets every new student where they are at, which for someone as inflexible(and out of shape) as me was great. There is a lot involved with Capoeira, from the physical movements, to singing, to the history and culture surrounding it. The academy also offers several other activities including Afro-Brazilian dances and a weekly roda. Definitely recommend, it is great instruction, a welcoming community, and has a lot to offer.“
