“My son's violin teacher recommended we take our instrument here for a repair. It was an older full-sized violin gifted to us by a friend. The tail piece, chin rest, bridge, strings, and pegs were all replaced or repaired to tailor to my son's needs. Finer recondiotioning was not deemed necessary for a beginner violinist. I appreciated the honesty! We also purchased a new bow as it made more sense to get a better bow than to rehair the old one the violin came with. Wow, what a difference! The violin was ready in 2 days. Price was very reasonable. It turns out, the friend who gifted the violin actually came to Bearden for all her violin needs 40+ years ago! Her parents drove 2 hours to rent/buy/repair violins from Bearden when they lived in Southern Illinois! I can see why. Definitely coming back for future needs.“
