I had a spinal fusion when I was 12. As a result, my entire spine is supported by hardware and I have a lot of physical restriction. I’ve tried yoga a couple times in the past but ended up feeling judged for my inability to carry out certain poses that seem to come easily for others.
Fast forward to today. I went to Raven’s class with some coworkers for team bonding. The space itself was cozy and inviting - nothing like the other studios I’ve visited. I love going to TLY! It’s the best start to my Saturdays - specifically a Hatha class with Sedona! Sedona is a phenomenal teacher. I’m always impressed by how smooth her pose transitions are! She starts her Hatha class slow and calm, slowly ramping up bit by bit, then slowing back down at the end. Even though I leave the class drenched in sweat, I still feel refreshed afterwards. The community of people that TLY attracts is also amazing. I love seeing familiar friendly faces that I’ve seen in previous classes. They greet me with a smile every time !
This is a no-judgment studio and I highly recommend going here for your next yoga class.
Can't say enough good things about True Love Yoga! This studio is truly focused on yoga for every ability level, including anyone with physical limitations. Every teacher I've practiced with has been excellent. And all of this is in addition to the pricing model, which creates even more accessibility for the studio.
