“We hired Hello Garage (West St. Louis) to install a polyaspartic floor coating and a garage cabinet system. We would give them 5 stars for the floor and 1 star for the cabinets.

The floor looks fantastic — clean, durable, and professionally installed. That part of the experience exceeded expectations and deserves real praise.

However, the cabinet system was a disappointment. While their marketing claims “industrial-strength welded steel” construction, the units delivered had thin black composite (non-steel) back panels and lower panels, not steel as advertised. Additional issues included a jagged outlet cutout, misaligned panels, missing locks, and visible surface damage — all of which made the cabinetry feel more like a budget DIY set than a premium garage solution.

That said, the owner responded professionally. He removed the cabinets, returned our original check, and issued a revised invoice. We appreciated that they stood behind their product — even though we ultimately declined to keep it. They even sent someone out to touch up the flooring after cabinet removal, which I appreciated — a good example of standing behind their work.

If you’re hiring Hello Garage for flooring, we recommend them. But if you’re considering their cabinets, ask a lot of questions — and confirm exactly what you’re getting. There’s very little information online about Hello Garage’s cabinet materials, so I’m posting this to help other homeowners make a fully informed decision“

“Garage Designs has been excellent to work with! Brandon and his team are professional, punctual, very detailed, reasonably priced, and they kept our garage clean throughout the job. They exceeded our expectations! My garage is beautiful! Garage Designs communicates throughout the job so you can easily make changes or add more items if you think of something extra you’d like. It was difficult to find one company to do an entire garage remodel for us but Garage Designs has many talents! Our builder only insulated and drywalled the walls of our garage attached to the finished interior walls of our home, and the builder drywalled our garage ceiling. But, the builder only provides a rough finish on the drywall. Garage Designs installed the necessary taping/mudding to smooth all the builder’s drywall, and Garage Designs installed new insulation and drywall on the walls of the garage that were not drywalled by the builder. Garage Designs painted ALL the drywall, including the ceiling – it looks fantastic! I chose SW ‘Agreeable Gray’ for the walls and white for the ceiling. They also primed and painted the concrete walls of my garage staircase that accesses our basement. In addition, Garage Designs sealed all the seams and nail holes in the unfinished trim of our two garage doors that access our house, and painted this trim for us. They stained and sealed our wood garage staircase, installed baseboard, installed an aluminum pull-down ladder to our garage attic access, installed a light switch in the attic near the top of the pull-down ladder, installed a light fixture in our attic next to our radon fan, installed a plywood walkway in our attic in order for us to SAFELY access our attic radon fan, and installed slat wall on the garage walls for us to hang our tools. They also provide garage floor coatings so we’ll be calling Garage Designs again for that project. They definitely take pride in their work!“
