I had them out when my AC wasn't cooling. The technician was professional, and knowledgeable, and he got my AC working. For years I have had a problem where the upstairs was always hotter, or cooler than the downstairs. Over the years I had asked other HVAC people about how to correct it and I had always been pretty much just blown off. The CM Mose & Son technician listened to me, thought about what I was telling him the problem was, then crawled up into my attic to look at how the upstairs vents were set up.
