“Dr. Shane Smith is amazing, as was the entire staff the we met while visiting the Lake Minnetonka Pet Wellness Center with our little dog Loki. Who else would sit right down on the floor with their little patients? Well without any hesitation, Dr. Smith did just that to help calm our little guy & to complete his exam. The two technicians who helped assist, Kelley & Jenna, were equally kind, patient & loving with Loki.<br>It’s funny how much Loki picked up on the very “positive vibe” perPETuated from inside those 4 walls as well. Upon initially arriving at the MTKA Pet Wellness Center, his little body began trembling. When his exam was over, we left our vehicle in the parking lot, went for about a mile walk on the trail. Shortly after we returned, we imagined Loki would jump right into the truck. Nope … he walked right back up the few steps to the doorway of the place where all his new friends were. Guess he loves y’all as much as we do! Thanks so much!“

“Dr. Strzok was awesome with my bulldog Cinder. She has been having allergy issues for about 1 ½ years ( she is 2 ½). We were always at the vet for antibiotics and shots. The vet suggested I try a dermatologist. I looked up dermatologists around me and found that Haarstads can go to your vet office if it works or you can go to their office. I love that Dr. Strzok and her assistant Ashley got down on the floor and played and talked to Cinder. Cinder was not scared at all. She went over everything with me and gave me a great treatment plan and some great information. It has only been about 5 days, and so far, she is doing better.“

That's not where the story ends when brought my dog home still a little out of it, the neighbors dog took the opportunity to bite him really badly. “I've been taking my 15 year old dog to Vet Partner on Main for the last 10 years or so. My dog underwent a knee surgery (she's now bionic) when she was roughly 11. Having a heart murmur, and being older, they brought her home and she continues to be able to walk with no issues. They have also removed a (very large) burst cyst that we were watching for a few years. The managed this situation, and once again brought her home after this scary emergency. They have been so great with her, and am so grateful to have known this place when I needed them most.“

“Our dog is basically allergic to everything including humans (not joking). Although it's been an expensive and stressful journey McKeever staff have been super sympathetic and helpful. They really took us from feeling hopeless and helpless to optimistic! Also our dog loves them despite them poking and prodding her every visit.“

“I have been going to MAH for over 7 years. At first I thought the cost was quite high. My puppy mill rescue dogs have had more difficult dentals and surgeries. The support and kindness I have received with dogs in foster care and adopted dogs, has made my rescue endeavor a positive experience. One of my Yorkies fell of the bed during the night. She was unable to walk as her legs on the right side would not work. She would simply topple over. She did not appear to be in pain. Dr Leilani made a trip into the office on her day off to provide chiropractic care to my dog. When we left the office my Yorkie was walking normally. I could give you other instances of their caring procedures my dogs have received but just know that MAH cares thoughtfully for my dogs. I cannot recommend them enough.“

“Our family started taking our miniature dachshunds to Gehrman Animal Hospital 44 years ago. Even though the docs have changed, the atmosphere is always welcoming and cheerful. Everyone in the office as well as the techs and of course,the vets are top-notch. They treat you like our puppy is the only patient they have all day, and you get undivided attention during your appointment.“

“This place is the best with cats. They really go out of their way to decrease stress whenever possible, and the staff is so patient and understanding even with my feisty kitty. They use minimal restraint, and the doctor didn't take it personally when my cat growled and swiped at her. Both doctors I've had here, as well as all the techs have always answered all my questions, and you can tell they all love animals and have their best in mind when making care recommendations. Prices are maybe on the high end of reasonable, but the care is so worth it. I'll be continuing to bring both my cats here for the foreseeable future.“
