“I am deeply grateful to Haley Leonhard who engaged in a dedicated search to find family when Gearty Delmore received my brother’s body. My brother had been estranged from family for almost 40 years. It was a shock to receive her call in Philadelphia.I felt like I found and lost my brother on the same day. She had information to share about his last few years. Haley continued to stand by me as I grieved and made decisions about my brother’s cremation and burial of remains in a meaningful graveside service at St Mary’s Cemetery in Minneapolis where he had lived. She went above and beyond to responsively support and accommodate my needs throughout several long months. I finally met Haley in Minneapolis when she attended the graveside service. I would never have been present to lay him to rest without her. She simply said when I thanked her in person — This is why I do what I do.”
