    Fort Snelling is a very special place to me. Fort Snelling National Cemetery is not only a place of great personal meaning but also an important part of Minnesota's history. Located near the historic Fort Snelling military post, the cemetery was established in 1939 and serves as the final resting place for thousands of veterans and their family members.     We were able to find my Grandfather and Grandmother's grave easily, well organized and laid out.
