Today I dropped off two wool coats, one rather valuable due to its age and rarity, but more importantly, it’s sentimental value. It was covered in my American Bulldog’s fur, who I lost to bone cancer less than a year ago. The woman behind the counter was incredibly kind and empathetic to my circumstances and took several minutes to just talk with me about him and then shared her story about her own dog’s passing not long ago. The connection to our humanity, and genuine rapport with one’s clientele is a key factor in my decisions about where I spend my money. “First, the workers behind the counter for drop-off and pick-up were nice--I was given the coupon price, even though I didn't think to ask for a discount or a coupon. It saved me a fair amount of money, which I appreciated. Second, I received my coat back in a couple days, instead of a week. I thought the turnaround time was super fast. Finally, they did a beautiful job cleaning my coat. It had multiple oily-looking stains all over it when I first brought it in. I didn't know what the stains were, and I didn't think they'd come out. But this cleaner was able to get all the stains out, and now the coat looks brand new! Very happy with Tide Cleaners in Apple Valley--I'll definitely be back!“
