“An absolute Elle-ite experience at RX Optical. Elle confidently showed me frames, screens, and tiny details while I repeatedly reminded her that I couldn’t actually see any of it yet because, fun twist, I was there to fix my eyesight. Instead of missing a beat, she turned my temporary blindness into witty banter and delivered flawless customer service the entire time.

I couldn’t see the frames, but I could clearly see Elle knew exactly what she was doing. Even fresh off a wisdom-teeth extraction, her customer service was still sharper than my vision. I didn’t even pick my glasses that day (I intentionally waited to come back just so I could work with her again).

10/10 service. 20/20 results pending….

“I recently had some concerns regarding Hiemstra’s providing the same quality care that they have since I started going there over 30 years ago. Admittedly I had some issues with some of the opticians and was seriously considering leaving Hiemstra’s. I was also frustrated with scheduling and change in exam practices that were not communicated. My review was brought forward to the attention of Todd, the manager, and I am glad it was. He reached out to me directly and “wanted to make it right”. I talked with Todd at the Portage office at length and I felt listened to and I was also updated on quality improvement that was taking place. I had been having issues with my glasses not fitting well and I had visited several times to have them adjusted. Todd personally fixed the fit himself and discussed what training and interventions were happening to improve quality of each visit with every optician. All of my concerns were handled in detail and I was asked to continue to trust Hiemstra’s with my optical care. This is the family atmosphere and attention that I have loved about Hiemstra optical for decades. I recognize that any business has opportunities for improvement. The communication and attention to my concerns is what has convinced me to stay. I am glad I took the time to share my feedback because I do feel heard and that it will benefit the company moving forward. That is hard to come by nowadays. Well done.“
