Dr. Emily was thorough, professional, and friendly. She used language I could understand and offered helpful advice. Optician Tawana was also friendly and professional and did a great job in adjusting my glasses.

I loved Dr. Emily! This was my first time at this location. I’ve hopped optometrist offices for many years because I am super picky, but this time I’m staying! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The exam was thorough and clear explanations were given to me as they worked. I don’t like surprises when people are near/touching my face or eyes. I watched them clean the equipment after each use, which is a big deal for me. She was very open and honest about pricing for contact lenses and different brands, not trying to sell me something I didn’t need. I will definitely be back!

I had been going to Hiemstra in Paw Paw for several years and had no complaints. When it was time for a new pair of frames I thought I would save money by going to a different place. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is correct. The new glasses never fit correctly and I went back 3 times to the cheaper place to try to resolve it. I decided to ask Hiemstra if they could help. Mike in Paw Paw was gracious enough to basically rebuild my frames from the cheaper place. He cut the arms to a proper length, fixed the lenses so they did not keep falling out and acutally made the glasses wearable. He did not charge me a dime for doing all this work to frames that I did not purchase from Hiemstra (unbelievable, right?). This is next-level customer service in my opinion. Hiemstra's is not the cheapest option but being able to see properly and comfortably is worth it and I won't be going anywhere else from now on.
