“Dr. Craig did an awesome job with my ear plugs. I had a custom set of specific ear plugs made. He did a first appointment for a custom fitment, then a second appointment where he made sure that they fit correctly. He included a warranty and was very helpful with all my questions. I'm sure I'll be back again. This is a great local hearing center and the price was extremely reasonable. I've told many friends about this place.“

“Fabulous workout facility. Large pool for laps and water aerobics, smaller warm water Therapy pool and hot tub. Locker rooms, showers and bathrooms are kept clean and staff very helpful & friendly. My only complaint would be that some of the specialty classes charge an extra monthly fee that is as much as the regular fee already paid to belong. It is not an inexpensive club, I would think that would be included.5/2024-Edited to add I highly recommend Pyramid H2O with Judy, Low Impact Cardio Drumming with Teresa and Chair Yoga with Jessica. In June they will be adding Silver Stretch, which is highly rated at the South Bend location (all included with membership). I love all the new classes keeping Seniors in mind!“

“I’ve been using the Wellness Center for the last 5ish years and I’ve had a truly great experience with Dr. Garman and his staff. I had a less ideal experience at the SB Clinic, which would have been so much easier to use. I explained that when I made my first appointment at the Wellness Center and I think they really kept that in mind in scheduling me with Dr. Garman.
I’ve always been treated with complete respect and empathy. I don’t particularly enjoy having to face illness or aging, so it’s not like I look forward to medical encounters. But I know when I go in that I’m getting by the best care possible. Literally everyone takes the time to talk to me and really listen, and they do it with the kindness I know I could not possibly muster day after day of having to deal with irritable sick people all day long! I’m constantly amazed at the energy and compassion required to do any of these jobs, from the front desk to the doctors.
I’ve never felt rushed, disrespected, or dismissed - and I understand that not everything I bring up is something that can be easily solved without hard work of my own - but I’ve always received resources for doing that work.
If I forget something important or need to get in touch between appointments, they’ve always been available over the messaging app. And if something is not working I feel welcome and able to ask questions.
It kind of blows my mind that the facility could have anything other than a 4.5+ star rating, although I know people can be really sensitive about their health and lifestyle and are generally miserable by the time they get around to seeking care. But it’s no reason to discourage others from using a facility that has so many advantages and constantly seeks feedback on every aspect of the process. I suspect some of the poorer reviews are old.
Having used it years ago as an employee, I know that a lot has changed over the last 5 years (and possibly a bit longer) - all for the better. I was hesitant to try it out again, but was really pleasantly surprised to have such compassionate and attentive care available. Frankly, it’s one of the reasons I stay on my spouse’s insurance instead of signing up through my own employer.“

“I've had several surgeries at SJRMC. I've had over night stays there as well. I had surgery there today. No one necessarily wants to have surgery but it really helps when it is a good experience. Every single person involved in my care was simply amazing from Jamie, RN to Dr. Folstein to Lindsay the nurse anesthetist to Emerald the OR RN to Christina in post op and everyone in between. My PACU nurse was awesome too but I was in a haze so I don't remember her name. Every single person I've ever dealt with there has been top notch. They are the kind of people you hate to say goodbye to because they treat you like a friend. My most sincere thank you to everyone on my care team today and every other time I've been there. Y'all rock!“

“I had a sudden complication. I was able to make an appointment quickly. Even though my doctor was out that day the nurse practitioner did an excellent job evaluating my situation. The following day I got a blood test and CT scan very efficiently. My results were done quickly and I’m on my way to my solution. Everyone was kind excellent and professional from the front desk, the nurses, and doctor’s. I’m definitely not the youngest guy anymore. It’s not my first visit to the doctor or the hospital. Due to my most recent experience, I have to highly recommend this team to anyone. Thank you so much Saint Joe. You really took care of me.“

“The doctors there took good care of my husband they helped him get the in home items he needed to care for him also did blood draws and home x-ray. He has hospice care also which helped me so very much. I lost him on August 12, 2017. I highly recommend VPA.“

“I had thee best experience with my emergency c section for my son back in summer of 2021. The labor and delivery nurses were the best, as well as the doctors for my son and for myself. The hospital was always kept clean, the nurses were compassionate and took all my complaints seriously and never pushed them aside. I’m forever grateful for the team here at this facility ❤️ Even with it being in the middle of the pandemic they were in 100% control of communication with my ob doc when it came to me being admitted after having first seen my on doc at his private practice. Within 3 hours after seeing him at his private office I was in OR having my son safely ?? Grateful for the team here and the people who also help run the place behind the scenes!!!“

“They had me in and out in under 10 minutes while being extremely friendly and professional. Big change from a couple of years ago. Andrew was my collector and made my day that much better. The front desk was super helpful and got the process started right away (I forgot to get his name). Lots of parking, extremely clean inside.
