I see kids like 8-10 all the way to people in their 80s+. I met one lady in her 70s doing strict pullups!! Everyone talks to everyone. You hear encouragement. They share information. Crossfit has really evolved from what we think of as hard-core box jumping macho guys. At least this gym has. Yes, there are certainly some very fit people doing very high-level movements. But they are encouraging, helpful and not intimidating. The focus is on lifelong functional fitness, injury healing and prevention. Mike, the owner, is an all-around good human being who really cares about helping people gain and improve their health.“

“Joining traditional karate dojo has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From day one, everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and supportive. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience—there’s a genuine sense of respect and encouragement that makes you feel like you belong.
The instructors are patient and knowledgeable, always taking the time to help you improve at your own pace. They focus not just on physical skills, but also on discipline, respect, and personal growth. Over time, I’ve noticed a huge boost in my confidence, both inside and outside the dojo.
What really stands out is how inclusive it is. People of all ages and skill levels train together, and everyone motivates each other to keep going. Whether you’re young or older, looking to get fit or build confidence, traditional karate truly offers something for everyone.
I highly recommend it to anyone considering trying something new—you’ll gain strength, confidence, and an amazing community along the way.“
