This is one of the few salons in Kalamazoo still masking. They have air filters, a filter on the HVAC system, and masks. If you're vaccinated, you don't need a mask, but everyone working there is masked all day. I am high risk and really appreciated this.For my first haircut in over two years, Mallory worked magic. She not only understood what I tried to explain and describe, but she was gentle, caring, and kind. If you have pain issues, she's the one to see! She understood my wavy hair and gave me an absolutely amazing easy-care cut that is so flattering. Mallory worked a miracle on my hair! I hadn’t had a cut in almost three years, and she managed to understand me, read my hair, and give me an amazing, flattering cut. I’m disabled, and their air filters and masks made it so I could feel safer going there, but how they treated me means I’m going back. Everyone was kind, understanding, and they didn’t rush me when I couldn’t walk fast. If you have health issues like I do, this is the best place and worth every penny.
