I have gone to Hiemstra Optical on Gull Road for several years because they provide quality care and service in every way. If I need to choose new frames, their knowledge of what will be best for me is valuable to me. I’ve always been happy with Hiemstra!

Always heard good things about Heimstra, decided to try Gull Rd, my own eye dr office doesn't take my glasses insurance. Glasses were made there twice, both times were incorrect and had to be redone. First time the bifocal was at an incorrect level, even tho' I told the tech the glasses I had were perfect & I didn't like where she kept trying to put it. Insisted she knew better & they were unwearable. Corrected to my satisfaction. A year later the axis (?) was incorrect & again had to be redone. Appreciate corrections were made promptly, question is why are corrections even necessary? On the good side, my frames (from the children's section) fit great & get lots of compliments....read full review

Very professional. Local business. My only beef with them is they did not indicate that my insurance would not be accepted, so I had to submit for reimbursement. Not a huge deal, I just wish they would have told me that on the phone.
