“Hats off to this professional organization, especially technicians Ken and Nick. When they arrived I advised them of the fryer vent exhaust coming through the HVAC return vent in the living room. I’ve enquirer from many contractors, HVAc and otherwise, all to no avail of determining the cause. Ken and Nick located the problem and allowed me to describe the situation to a contractor as to how to repair the issue.“

“Overall, my Baumann home purchase has been a very positive experience [so far]. My last builder, who shall remain nameless, was the cheapest, entry-level builder in the region, and this has been a major upgrade in soooo many tangible ways.

Negotiating with Baumann on one of their specs was pretty stressful. Their counter-offer on their own listing was actually almost $20K higher, which left me feeling jaded, but this home checked all the boxes. They attributed that to higher costs. I attribute that to me paying for a three-week corporate cruise through the Med. [Avoid Ibiza! ?]

My spec home was also staged with suuuper ugly furniture for photos. This caused damage to both the walls and floors that I cannot address because I didn’t notice them during our walk-through. If you buy a spec of theirs, my best advice would be to ask if it was staged, and if so, do a close inspection of the door frames and the flooring.

It is a seriously beautiful home, though, right on Lake Mr. Business, and I definitely get the impression that they take pride in their construction. Both Baumann reps that I have met have been nothing short of excellent and knowledgeable. Michael, the project manager for my development, is dynamite, another testament to their quality.

My first builder wouldn’t even let me inside the house without a scheduled visit without a rep of theirs; Baumann told me where the keys are and basically said, “enjoy and congrats ✌️.”, which, again, is testament to their confidence in their product quality.

What once bought a loaf of bread now barely buys a cup of broth, and that trend seems to have ebbed towards spartan work. (ie no gutters, no garbage disposal, top soil, etc.) so maybe best to manage expectations if you’re on a budget.

Again, overall, thrilled with my home. It’s easily a 9.5/10 and very happy with Baumann, but be ready drop a coin or two to make your dream home a reality.“
