The Cancer & Hematology Centers (CHC) provides expert, compassionate cancer care close to home. The team includes skilled oncologists, certified oncology nurses, and PhD specialists, offering advanced treatments and personalized support. Patients describe the staff as spectacular, kind, and patient. One patient with extreme anxiety felt very thankful for the compassion received during an infusion, where a nurse talked them down and slowed the rate so they could finish treatment. Another patient praised Dr. Polavaram, nurse Amy, Katie, Sadie, and the front desk and lab folks as amazing, stating they made the cancer journey more bearable and gave confidence of being in good hands. Alyssa Robinson was described as professional, taking time to listen and create a new treatment plan. However, patients note the billing department is a joke, warning they will double bill and continue billing even with proof.
Only issue is getting scheduling to call back after a missed call. They called me left message I called 3 minutes later and person that answered told me they were unable to make the appointment the told me to call them to make?
So 5 days later I still await call to make an appointment. Also this makes me wait another 3 weeks due to transportation costs.
Doctor and nurses and other staff are great but scheduling is a joke.
I received my first ever infusion here and the staff was spectacular. I have extreme anxiety and needed to stop the treatment for a moment while thinking I was having a negative reaction. She was so kind and patient with me while talking me down. We slowed the rate of the infusion to reduce any negative effects and I was able to finish the full treatment. Very thankful for the compassion I received today!!
He was wonderful! He treated me for my bilateral breast cancer and I am doing wonderful! I can't say enough about him and his team. They were dedicated and understanding and so fast with the decisions in my journey. Thank you!!!
