Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion treats cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. The facility uses a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in particular types of cancer, and actively participates in clinical trials for many types of cancer. Reviews describe the facility as a great place to be during a cancer journey, with compassionate people who make patients as comfortable as possible. Patients are thankful for a great team of doctors and phenomenal nurses. The valet is easy and the facilities are top notch, with great staff on Floors 2-3. The radiation team is described as wonderful, making patients feel comfortable and cared for, not like just a number. However, multiple reviews express serious concerns about cleanliness. Patients noted dust on tables, dried cup rings, wrappers, dust bunnies behind chairs, and garbage on chairs in the waiting room. The floor appeared not to have been vacuumed for some time. The cafe next door also had dirty tables and crumbs on the floor. One reviewer stated that as of 9/18/24, the cleanliness issue had yet to be resolved. Additionally, patients find it incredibly annoying to have to listen to blaring TVs during chemotherapy and question why headsets or earbuds are not provided.
Went here for my treatments while battling ovarian cancer that I was diagnosed with while 24 weeks pregnant with my first and only son. I was treated so well and with such care. My oncologist is no longer practicing there anymore but Christopher Hummel was his name and I’ll never forget him. Thank you for saving me and my son Everett Dr. Hummel!
Corewell has been a great facility to be at during my Cancer journey. The office is full of compassionate people who make you as comfortable as they can in those situations! Thankful for a great team of doctors.
Been going to Lemmen-Holton for several years now for treatment. Valet is so easy and the facilities are top notch. Staff on Floors 2-3 are great. Dealing with an incurable disease you need world class people and facilities. We are lucky we have these in West Michigan.
