“Our dog was very very sick. We had 4 vets from a different vet practice tell us there was nothing left to do to save her. During this very difficult time Dr. John returned my call and shared that he wanted to help. Not only did he make our dog comfortable that night (after hours) by calling in medication, he followed up for the days on his own time. He truly saved her life when multiple other vets gave up way too soon. I have never seen a vet office with such compassion and dedication to sick animals. They truly care and go out of their way to help. My dog went from having a scheduled appointment to put her to sleep to feeling the best she has felt in years. She is happy and doing so well. I am forever grateful for west Woodward animal clinic and highly recommend them! They answered every single question and explained all outcomes. They were realistic with her possible prognosis but worked so hard to make our dog better. They also have very fair prices and in no way try to scam or do unnecessary testing to make money.“

“good vet. the vet tec that helped me was an amazing person. I'm pretty sure my fat dog bit her when he was having his booty juice drained by force. then the vet came in and told me like 5 times that my dog is fat... I know he's fat, he was spoiled and fed by every person he's in contact with, thank you doctor for fatshaming my loaf of bread looking palm/chi. he's in therapy now for an eating disorder... but in actuality, they are a great vet. I wish I remembered the vet tec name so I could give her recognition. she's the reason I will be going back. next appointment I'm getting her name to reference excellence of service.

“I love taking my dogs here. They get the greatest care and are so gently taken care of. I always feel so welcome when I come here too. Everyone is so friendly and I love how diverse of a place it is. My sweet babies love the doctors and technicians alike. Also, prices are very reasonable compared to other places I have been.“

“Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Wes again for a followup on our cat. We came here after being completely misdirected on the proper care for our cat by Healthy Paws in Westland which Dr. Wes said could have been fatal if left untreated.

The first thing Dr. Wes did was print up the blood work and urinalysis report that Healthy Paws in Westland submitted and immediately went through every level that seemed to be a concern to us. Right away he said it looks like she has IBS, a UTI and is very constipated. He completed an XRAY as well to verify some of these things, but I was BAFFLED that we were not told any of this by the Healthy Paws in Westland which is apparently owned by the same company. We went back there 2 TIMES and they made us believe it was nothing serious and recommended us to go elsewhere if we wanted more answers.

Dr. Wes and his team here are so unbelievably thorough in their care process and our cat is now starting to show signs of feeling better, which was not happening for weeks when we went to Healthy Paws. I highly recommend Southpointe if you want your pet to get the proper care, I HIGHLY advise against going to the Healthy Paws in Westland.“
