We were left scratching our heads as to why the face plate on our shower handle just dangled in space leaving a large gap behind it. Our shower was unusable. Then I realized he put the handle sleeve/stem on backwards. A quick fix once I realized the plumber's mistake, but why did I have to find and fix the mistake? I probably should have replaced the valve myself (I have before, I just did not think that I had the time to do it).“
