I recently called number of roofing and siding companies when it came time to replace both on my home. Of all the companies, only MichConn and another quoted both. The rest only quoted the roof.What made select MichConn was Brandon. While he and the other companies all mentioned that my roof had wind and hail damage and I could get insurance to possilby pay for some of the cost. He was the only one to offer to meet with the insurance adjustor when he came out to inspect my roof. Even though I hadn't committed to MichConn for the work, he did and the result was my the replacement of my 30 year old roof, was 95% paid for by insurance.I even added the rebuild of my chimney the work. The quote was for using new bricks. I wanted to save some money and reuse the old. We compromised on a little more of a 70% new and I am happy with how it turned out.As for the final result of all the work, my wife and I couldn't be happier.Brandon was very responsive to answering texts and calls during the entire process. I do recommend MichConn and will use them in the future.
I had dreaded the thought that I would have to pay someone to install a french drain, that it would be expensive. Then I stumbled on to the French Drain Man, that all I needed was their Buried Downspout Kit #10, that I could install it myself. Having never tackled such a project as this, it took a couple of days to dig the 20’ trench (didn’t need the 25’). My initial dig took an about 1 day, and then I thought I heard someone speaking Chinese below the bottom of the trench at the low point. I had overestimated the slope requirement, thinking it needed to be about 4%, only to realize it only needed to be about 1%. So, I spent another day redoing the trench. After that, it wasn’t too long before I had the parts installed. But before I covered the trench with the dirt I had dug out, I ran a test with the water from my outdoor hose, not wanting to wait until it rained enough to show me whether or not I messed up. Glad I did, because I had not properly secured the connection to the pop-up emitter, causing water to flood the trench at the low point. Fixed that and am now waiting for the next heavy rain to give me a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
Lloyd and his son installed a new comfort height toilet in our home and replaced the tub faucet. The back of our old toilet had mold which was also on wall. They cleaned it and even painted it before installing new toilet. Very reasonable prices and excellent work! We could not be happier!
I don't write many reviews, unless they are truly warranted. This is the first time I've had water issues in a home, so I didn't know what to expect, besides allot of angst on how much dust and dirt there would be, and if the water would stop seeping in the basement. From the moment they arrived, I felt like I was a VIP. They didn't let me move a finger, and moved everything in the middle of the basement, protected it with plastic, and had me turn off my furnace to prevent any dust from getting into the air ducts. They protected my carpet, and left the job cleaner than when they arrived. They walked me through some unexpected issues and resolved those as well. They were quick to stop the water, and I can now see the water going into the sump pump instead of my basement. Of many other contractors I've worked with on other issues, they were by far the best. They were able to give me a close estimate of the cost of removing at least an acre of leaves and then were out within 3 days to do a fabulous job! My yard looks like spring! Highly recommend this company and I will be calling them next year!
We decided to bury our power lines underground and needed to have some electrical work done in order to be compliant for DTE. Jay's team came out, completed the work quickly and the estimate was appropriate for the work that they did. Just had our cabinet install and we are over the top excited with the quality and craftsmanship we received. We ran into some obstacles, due to the structure of the house, during the process and the team over at Showcase was at my house within 24 hours and stayed for hours and I mean hours coming up with scenarios to make it right. This is not your fly by night buy some big box build a cabinet - this is a quality built cabinet that is tailored to your space. With that being said you get what you pay for and you wait for the process to be completed - can't rush art. When you see them it shows - I could not of imagined dealing with the issues we had without having the team at Showcase behind us. We will continue to use Showcase for all of our cabinetry needs and have earned our business. If you are reading this you are considering calling them for a quote and I highly recommend you do - the marginal premium you pay in comparison far exceeds the benefits between the craftsmanship, supporting a family owned business, and having a team with this amount of experience is priceless.
I have been going to Caroline to get my hair done for the past 6 months. She is AMAZING! she has transformed my hair from dark brown to light/ash blonde highlights. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything she is doing as she goes. Caroline is my go-to girl for blonde! The salon is very clean and prices are reasonable.
