“Last year we had a hot water heater installed by PP&H and it works perfectly. Last week our 38 year old furnace inevitably let go for good. I called PP&H on a Friday morning and they still squeezed us in to come check it out that day. My husband and I let them know we were leaving for a trip next week and there was an immediate need to get a new one. Richard got us the quote later that night and on Tuesday AJ started the install. No, it wasn’t cheap but we got a great new oil furnace. AJ really is awesome - he was always respectful of our home, and on time each day as this was a 3 day job. PP&H has always taken care of us and I appreciate how they prioritized getting our new furnace in! Thank you again.“

GARRETT-PILLSBURY PLUMBING & HEATING Plumbers

“I usually never write reviews but feel I must because of my plumber Brady today from GP. We have used GP for our oil delivery and furnace maintenance at the beach house and been very satisfied. Today (Memorial Day!), as I was about to pack the car to leave to return to Massachusetts at days end, I discovered 4 inches of water in my basement with the outlet connection from my sump pump compromised and the pump askew. When I called GP the person told me they would have Brady call me. He did so promptly and said he would be there within 40 min. He arrived sooner and very efficiently fixed the connection, stabilized the pump and then found that the pipe was also broken under the deck and needed repair. He fixed that too and the basement was drained out before he left. Brady responded quickly, was very nice, professional and efficient. That is what great service is meant to be. Thank you Brady and GP.“

“Great experience. Purchased our house and moved in less than a week ago, only to find out we had little to no hot water. I Emailed, and having not heard back by noon, then called the company (who I won't name) who had been maintaining the furnace and boiler for the previous owners for 20 years, only to be told that they had read my email (apparently couldn't be bothered to respond) but they only service existing customers... Hard to be an existing customer when you've just moved in five days earlier. Called a few places and got nothing but answering machines. Called Lord & Brooks, based on a review I read, and their answering machine actually had a phone number for emergency service. Called that number and got a call back in less than five minutes. Was told he was at a job in Portland (at which point I figured we'd be looking at days with no hot water) but he then said he'd be able to get away in an hour or two to come over and look at the issue. Sure enough he was there within two hours, and had the problem fixed in less than 20 minutes. Turned out to be a worn out mixing valve that, ironically enough, the first company I called, who "only serviced existing customers", had supposedly just rebuilt in July, yet the spring was worn away to almost nothing. The charge was a grand total of $105. No fee for emergency service, no thought of telling us to replace unneeded parts. Just a service call and parts. This company took what could have been a horrible situation and made it great instead THIS is how you make customers for life. I'm a service manager for a luxury auto brand and I'll be using this experience in training new personnel. Could not be happier with the service provided, and will be using Lord & Brooks for multiple things in the future, including adding a gas range as we were already planning. Truly an exceptional job. And for the record, ten hours later, I've yet to receive a call back from any other companies I'd called, for an issue that seems pretty important given that there's a blizzard coming this weekend. If you need service for plumbing, heating or the myriad other services they offer, I highly recommend you skip the hassle and just call Lord & Brooks from the start. Thanks so much!“
