“We just purchased and renovated a home for an Airbnb in Monmouth and The first week we Had renters the system that was installed by another company messed up It would not come back in a timely manner enough to help our renters on a very hot week with young children. I searched the area for another heat pump company and found Maine refrigeration. I spoke to Rachael and she was willing to move things around in their schedule and get us in for same-day service. Sean, the technician came out and did a quick check and showed us how to do a hard restart on the system. We were able to get our renters taken care of for that week. All throughout the summer every one of our tenants had issues with the heat pumps and we all had to show them how to do the hard restart that Sean taught us. fast forward to this year. Our first tenant went in and the same thing happened again. I called the original installer and again after explaining to him that this has been a problem for an entire year He still chose to take no responsibility and wanted me to wait another 2 1/2 weeks before he could make it out. I called Rachael back and she sent Sean over again, same day and Sean had found that on the original install two of the AC lines were crisscrossed and installed incorrectly. He evacuated the system, changed out the lines and recharged the system. This is where it’s interesting and why I have the upmost respect for Rachael and the staff at Maine refrigeration. After Sean found the problem he said to me “I really should have caught that the first time” and he apologized. I was just happy that it was fixed and I really couldn’t blame him because it was a brand new system that was less than a week old and he was also coming in at the last minute to help. When I received the bill, they credited my first repair towards my second one in the service ended up costing around $77. I would’ve gladly paid the full amount because of the great service that they provided. I have owned a business in Southern Maine for over 25 years and the reason for my longevity is that I found out early price isn’t always a factor, but people will always remember how You made them feel. With Maine refrigeration, I felt heard and understood, It was hands-down the best service experience that I have had in a very long time and I appreciate them. They should definitely be your first call if you need anything at all with refrigeration I also have them coming back to do all my service work and cleanings for the heat pumps.“
