The rooms I saw were dated but in good shape. Comfy beds, fridge, microwave, multiple shampoos and conditioners which everyone skimps on these days. Table with chairs, ironing board and a balcony with a nice view of the property. There are ocean view rooms.Service was outstanding. The two or three people I interacted with at the front desk were friendly, helpful, informative and professional. The gift shop is great and the same hours as the front desk.Nice, nostalgic indoor pool and hot tub (you'll see).Short drive to downtown or Acadia. I'll be back!

This is a fantastic place in a fantastic setting. The Bluenose Inn should be used as a template on how to maintain and improve historic resorts. Nicely refreshed but not flashy so it keeps the charm from when it was built.

Very nice hotel. Right around the corner (driving) from Bar Harbor. Would be a doable but long walk. Hotel offers bus service at certain times that will take you to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park.Rooms - very nice, gas fireplace, large flatscreen TV, huge bathroom. View from the rooms is of ocean and Bar Island. Bar Island is a great morning walk, only accessible by using a land bridge at low tide.We stayed on 4th floor. The hotel is on a hill so view isn’t obstructed by buildings etc.Hotel has great amenities (fitness center, pool, etc) but location and view are main reason to consider this place.Traffic noise when on balcony from Highway 3 below.
