This review is long overdue, but I can't say enough about the OT team of Silver Spring. EVERYONE who works at this studio is so incredible-- welcoming, helpful, enthusiastic, supportive... whether it's 6am or 6pm, the entire staff has the most amazing attitudes (and they somehow seem to remember EVERYONE's names!). The front of house team and management (shout out to Matt, Kyra, Emma, Kenny, Brianna)-- their joy is contagious and the positive attitudes are so unbelievably helpful when I show up a little less-than-motivated. I went to leave a review and realized I gave it 5 stars 3 years ago. 3 years later, I’m here to say it’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to in my life.
The different workouts every day, the energy and genuine happiness you can feel from the coaches and staff, the motivation, among many other things, make this my favorite gym of all time.
Now, 3 years after my original review, they have implemented strength classes (which are focused on weightlifting). I had considered lowering my membership to 8 classes a month so I could go to a regular gym to lift more, but thanks to the strength 50 classes I don’t have to do that anymore!

I’ve only been doing OTF for two months and I honestly love it. I’d already been going to the nearby Planet Fitness for a 18mos but I’m in my early 40s and knew I clearly needed to take some kind of class to keep things interesting. The structure helps, the studio is clean and the staff and other members have been nothing but helpful and nice. On my first day, I was suspicious of how upbeat everyone was (that’s my NYC upbringing shining through) but it’s clear we’re all there to do our thing and not create unnecessary stress.
