I love Mary. Truly. My daughter and I went for years when we lived in silver spring. She has always done a great job on my hair BUT sadly I see how some people are handled. The prices are inconsistent as are the shop hours . The prices seem to be based on her mood and tolerance for you and your hair. She takes long at times and chats on the phone or with other staff that can drag out the time. If I was just walking in and she didn't know me would I give 4 to 5 stars ? -- no, but for me she works and I come out happy with my hair as does my adult daughter who started with her as a teen.

I have walked by this salon almost everyday and finally went there. I needed a haircut in general but had a last minute event to go to so I decided to try the salon. I was able to be seen right after walking in. I asked for a trim; received a good shampoo wash and believe the owner cut my hair. End result, I was satisfied with the haircut and service.
