Once inside Spa 1669, I was greeted with a glass of Whiskey and personal cake for my birthday, and to my surprise, it was ironically Michael's birthday as well! “I've been going to Shobha since they are the only ones offering sugaring. I get brazilians so much less painful with the sugar. The service experience varies with the technician. I personally love the manager Cindy since she is so detail oriented and also fun to chat with. I also liked Raji when she was at this location. The other techs are very sweet but I feel like they miss some hair each time I go there. The salon itself is very clean and they insist on handwashing which I admire. Overall, I would highly recommend for the waxing/sugaring.“

“i have really short nail beds so i never thought my natural nails could look this nice. mai (sp?) took her time, listened to my feedback, and did everything with a detailed eye. she also spent a really long time making sure my cuticles were pushed back and clipped, and they accommodated me last minute as well. i’m super nitpicky but i can’t find anything to nitpick! will definitely be back

I wish I had her name, but the stylist who runs the place has been able to take me as a walk in on multiple occasions and fix me up by the end of my lunch break, the first time even fixing a bad cut from a different shop.Midway through my last cut a woman came in during a mental health crisis and she stayed calm and collected even as she was undergoing a borderline assault wherein the woman having a breakdown was holding on to her. She was sympathetic to the woman's situation and diffused the scene while we waited for police and mental health services to arrive. Even after, as 10 police vehicles surrounded the building, she finished cutting my hair and apologized to her appointment client who understood. Not only that, it was a great cut! My only complaint was that she wouldn't let me pay for the cut after the whole ordeal as a thank you for assisting her during the incident!“

“Been there many times. Depends on the technician. All are very friendly and pleasant but the skills are varied. Gel pedi is $ 55, including taking off old gel polish. Repeatedly someone tried to charge extra for removal or claimed extra for callus removal gel I didn’t request. Seems to be a thing there. So be warned about that - but if you point out that their price list states $ 55, you will receive a good pedi in a comfy chair.“
