They were incredibly professional, gentle, and kind—not a single negative reaction or judgment, just calm, patient care.

Even though we booked a standard pedicure, they worked on her feet for over an hour and a half, showing so much compassion and attentiveness, especially as she repeated herself many times due to her condition. They never rushed, never asked for extra payment, and treated her with dignity the entire time.

“i have really short nail beds so i never thought my natural nails could look this nice. mai (sp?) took her time, listened to my feedback, and did everything with a detailed eye. she also spent a really long time making sure my cuticles were pushed back and clipped, and they accommodated me last minute as well. i’m super nitpicky but i can’t find anything to nitpick! will definitely be back

“Great hair, better care. I wish I had her name, but the stylist who runs the place has been able to take me as a walk in on multiple occasions and fix me up by the end of my lunch break, the first time even fixing a bad cut from a different shop.Midway through my last cut a woman came in during a mental health crisis and she stayed calm and collected even as she was undergoing a borderline assault wherein the woman having a breakdown was holding on to her. She was sympathetic to the woman's situation and diffused the scene while we waited for police and mental health services to arrive. Even after, as 10 police vehicles surrounded the building, she finished cutting my hair and apologized to her appointment client who understood. Not only that, it was a great cut! My only complaint was that she wouldn't let me pay for the cut after the whole ordeal as a thank you for assisting her during the incident!“

She is a great listener and helps guide you to the right decision for your hair and ideas you have. She helped me bring my hair back to life! Stephanie and Rosie are very knowledgeable hairstylists. “I've only gone to Progressions for gel or dip powder manicure. All 3 times I received excellent service even when either the dremel or the UV for gel was too hot or uncomfortable. Moving to VA so will not be returning, but recommend either Nom or Celia for nails.“

Their pedicure is more detail oriented and not thorough than other Rockville salons I have been to and they go the extra mile for sure in terms of foot care. In addition they are very kind and even offer coffee to their customers. I live that! It feels like good old fashioned kindness and great customer service. These ladies always have a smile. Makes a big difference especially when I compare it to the rough, dry, overly business and unfriendly attitude at the last salon J went to which is near Andy's and quite popular. “Manicure pedicure time with my wife and daughter while on vacation. It is always nice to get spoiled. This place is unique because they don't soak your feet like I am used to. They spray chemicals on your feet and then start exfoliating. No beer or wine offered though like the places in Florida. Even our dog grooming has that (haha). Very nice staff and easy to get in. They are double what we pay in Florida but likely that is regional.“
