Marianna was very knowledgeable when I was scheduled in for a last minute appointment. I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted and she provided great suggestions that would fit well with the shape of my face. I was very happy with my haircut and she was able to revive the hair color I already had. I will definitely be going back!

Beware of false reviewsI didn't listen to the other reviews that said a lot of the good reviews were a little suspicious. Some people didn't have a good experience. Like some of the others I too had the experience with Marianna that she did not listen to what I wanted. My haircut was supposed to be a simple graduated bob, one length. It can be done on pretty much any kind of hair and isn't complex. I told her no layers, just simple one length. Marianna began the cutting process without washing my hair or even combing it! I told her I wanted a wash and my hair hasn't been washed, I was sweating all day and needed a shampoo. This caused the cut to be very uneven, choppy and one side longer than the other (see photos). She put in layers and cut it way too short. It looked nothing like the photos I provided. After I told her it's too short and there are layers, why didn't she do anything I asked for? She made excuses and basically told me it's my fault bc my hair has a different texture, I have "Asian" hair. I said yes, I'm part Asian but I'm only half and I actually have the "White" side of my family's hair type. It's average thickness, some thin, fine areas and it's straight. It's very manageable and simple. She understood that I didn't approve of the haircut but still made me pay for it. I was actually very forgiving of it because I wasn't upset like others would be about getting a cut way too short and nothing I asked for. I'm still upset but I didn't want to make a big deal over it but I shouldn't have to pay for her mistakes or bad choices. I'm patient but will have to spend more time growing it out and pay more money for a stylist to fix the unevenness and bad layers. The first sign of her unprofessionalism was right when I sat down she tried to keep up-selling me on getting my hair colored. I kept telling her I don't color my hair and I have 'virgin' hair. I'm just not interested in coloring my hair. I like to keep it simple. Be careful if you decide to go here, the reviews do not reflect the actual quality you get. I feel that this place is very misleading.

I have been visiting Marianna for several years and I cannot say how much I love her work! She is excellent at helping me find the exact shade 59 color my hair and I am always pleased with her understanding of what hair cuts and styles will suit my face shape. This salon is always clean, bright, and professional. I cannot recommend her services enough!

The reviews aren't a sham. I went here because of them and was incredibly impressed. She gave me an affordable haircut that looked absolutely fantastic for at least 7 weeks. It had absolutely zero shape when I went into her and she put a ton of life into it and shaped around my face perfectly. I live out of state but am here somewhat often and I'll definitely be nabbing a haircut from Marianna every time I'm in the DMV area.

I went for my first time this past Friday before going to a wedding this weekend. Talk about gutsy move to begin with being that I have a big event to go to the very same weekend as trying a hair salon lol. Marianna and Gloria were very attentive. Marianna listened to my needs and what I wanted for my hair, which was a cut and to even out my hair color. I have been visiting Marianna exclusively for almost a decade. She is a skilled stylist and always gives me a perfect cut and just what I want. I show her a photo and she makes smart decisions about how to translate that into what will work best for my face and hair type. She makes adjustments until it looks just right. You can really tell how much she cares about her work and making her clients look and feel amazing.
