Amber in the grooming Dept. rudely hung up the phone on me after she told me she had to cancel my puppies appointment. I called the store to complain and they don’t even have a manager who is available because she is out right now, and nobody is they are taking her place to handle situations like this. The store has definitely gone down in quality and customer service in the past few months. I’ve called and left messages for the grooming department in the past and nobody has returned my call. The website isn’t user-friendly, they don’t have all the options for grooming on there. I have been patronizing the store for about a year and a half and today I decided that I’m going to go to petsmart and also Chewy Because if she could be so rude to me on the phone I don’t want her near my puppy.
My dog was injured while he was being groomed at this location on 5/23/17. He walked with a limp for over a month after the visit. We incurred over $200 in vet expenses for x-rays to assess his injury that Petco is LIABLE FOR SINCE HE WAS INJURED IN YOUR CARE, CUSTODY, AND CONTROL. To date, we have not been reimbursed for the additional expenses we incurred. We have been extremely patient but every phone call and/or personal visit to follow results in someone from corporate will get back to you and that has not happened. Now we have no choice but to pursue it legally. I will NEVER take my dog back there NOR would I ever recommend this location or any other PETCO.
I visit both Petco and PetSnart but after the experience I had in this location, I will no longer support Petco. The store was very dirty, I witnessed grooming taking place with groomers not really concerned about the dogs as they did their conversation. I had a coupon for my dog's favorite brand of dog food but after this experience which also included being felt like I was an intrusion to the texting cashier, I am now only a PetSnart patron. Avoid this location if at all possible.
