“Modern Remodeling took a bad situation and made it fantastic.
In May of '26 we had a valve fail in our master bath. The water seeped behind several walls before we discovered the leak. By that time mold had grown and it was quite the mess. We called a remediation company that promptly came out tore out all the infected walls and killed the mold. Our next call was to our insurance company, they gave us an appointment with an adjuster on Tuesday. This was on Friday. We have never had an insurance claim before and were quite nervous. I asked the remediation project manager for a construction company recommendation. He immediately told us Modern. Shawn from Modern was out here within hours. He assessed the situation and assured us we had a solid claim. I asked him if he would be here for the adjuster and he said defiantly. Not only was Shawn here so were both the project and construction managers. They gave me some advice on how to deal with the adjuster. Basically be friendly, professional and never volunteer information. The meeting went well yet Modern advised us that there would be lengthy back and forth. Oh how was that true. The insurance company sent an estimate, Modern sent back an estimate of theirs. Both Modern and the insurance companies estimates were very detailed. It took about a month till all money issues were resolved. Once money was resolved we signed a contract with Modern and we were given a schedule. We then had some more delays due to our previously scheduled vacation. Once work stated we worked closely with the construction manager and communication was clear and precise. They were able to keep very close to the schedule. At no time did we feel not attended to. By mid August all work was complete and we are thrilled with our new bathroom. Of course we did some upgrades which were built into Modern's contract with us. Draws for payments at different stages of the project were clearly shown in the contract.
There is no way we could have been able to deal with the insurance company without Modern Remodeling. For that they are well worth it. Thank you.”
