“This salon is especially suited for those who endeavor to have a new relationship with their hair. The salon is small but spacious with lots of natural light while also being very private. Shelly is incredibly well informed about hair challenges both treated and untreated. She is patient and thoughtful and consequently understands where you are trying to go with your hair and how to get there in the healthiest way possible. We discussed in detail my past health struggles impacting my hair. She was not daunted by my challenges and more than a week out I understand why she had no concerns. Her hair science is expert level. She clearly understands the “mentality” of hair and applies it with great success (at least for my situation). Add to the experience a rather metaphysical therapy session and you walk out of the shop looking and feeling years lighter. This is a definite GO for any hair work you’d like to have done. These photos reflect my hair when done and more than a week later. Generally us curly-haired ladies don’t have hair that stays straight for very long. Tape ins and expert knowledge make a world of difference.“

“In 9/2020, Chiquita brought me from the brink of accepting the old cliche of “my whole family loses our hair at an early age, reducing us all to wigs” to leaving your crown alone and trusting the Loc process the correct way! As a last-ditch effort in 9/2017, I paid an arm and a leg for instalocs that expedited my thinning process. As a cosmetologist, she took care of the hair 1st then focused on the look afterward. Yes, it was painful, but she taught me to trust the process, and it will be ever so significant that no one will ever touch my hair again. I go faithfully every 4-5 weeks.“

“I was looking for a hairstylist in the area and I came across Erica’s page on the Salontra Columbia website. I am sooo happy I chose to have a consultation with her because she is incredibly knowledgeable and so kind. My hair had been through so much postpartum and I wasn’t sure what could be done with it. She had a thorough and clearconsultation with me (she took notes!) and she gave me a plan of action. It was clear that she was listening to my wants and that she was taking into account my lifestyle and personal hair managing abilities. I came in wanting a natural hairstyle, but I didn’t really have much in mind. I left with a beautiful tapered haircut that I love. She was on time and waiting for me to arrive. She stuck to her scheduled time as well. Her salon is beautiful and so organized. She shares the products that she uses without making you feel forced to buy anything.
