Awa is not only an excellent braider, but she is truly an awesome human being. She started doing my mother’s hair around 2017 when she was going through chemotherapy. My mom’s stylist would not put chemicals in her hair and she referred her to Awa for a protective style.
Whenever my mom needed her hair done Awa adjusted her schedule to coincide with my mother’s last chemo treatment of the week. She treated my mom with utmost respect and she made her feel very special.
Then fast forward to right after COVID, my mom wanted her hair braided again (she lives about 3 hours away) Awa took special precautions because she knew my mother had a weakened immune system. Awa sees you as a person, not just as a paycheck.
I am also Awa’s customer. Her braiding technique is unmatched and she is never late. I started going back to her again after my hair was damaged from relaxers. In record time, my hair came back. See photos.

I found out about Kade when I noticed a young lady's cornrowed hair style in Wegmans and asked her who had done her hair. She gave me Kade's number. I called her the next morning as I had been seeking to get a crochet style but had not gone to a braider in many years and she kindly gave a an appointment the same day. She was prompt, professional, great attitude and quick. I was very pleased with the outcome.

A Royal Cut Every Time Just got my second cut from Amasai Holden at Crown Royal Barber, and I'm officially a fan. From day one, he brought techniques I've never seen used before -- like hitting my beard with a hot iron to straighten it before trimming ( game changer). That move alone kept my beard looking sharp for days longer. This visit, he leveled up my hairline with fibers and holding spray -- something I've had done before, but never this precise or long-lasting. Dude added that "extra sauce" that had me walking out like a brand new man. The shop is clean, in a great area right near my office, and super convenient. I walked in the first time with no wait, and the second time, I booked an appointment -- showed up early and Amasai was already ready to go. No waiting, no hassle. Just top-tier service and professionalism. If you want a fresh cut with elevated technique in a polished space, Amasai's your guy. Highly recommend.

Nails Love has been in business close to 40 years. The salon is always clean. The workers are so friendly and polite and happy as well. My visit is there I was feeling sad and uneasy, but after my Medicare and pedicure, I felt so beautiful!

So I saw I pic of myself and knew something was off but not sure what. Hair and Nail Creations was recommended some time ago so finally decided to call. I was able to get an appointment that afternoon with Nalini. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. I don’t spend a lot of time primping but I do like an updated easy style. During my consultation Nalini looked at pics on my phone of styles that I was considering. She also looked at older pics of myself and pointed out differences. She pointed out that the blonde was washing me out where a slightly darker shade was much more flattering. We decided on a chin length layer bob with lowlights to brighten my hair. I love it! What a difference. I didn’t have to go home and wash it like I’ve done before. And it’s so easy. As we all know… the true test is what it looks like after we shampoo and style ourselves. Nalini got it right the first time! Thanks Nalini! It’s perfect! BTW…. I felt very pampered!
A-List Salon within Sola Salon Studios is excellent. Ashley is very knowledgeable, experienced and caring. She is truly passionate about hair health and promotes a safe space for learning and how to maintain hair. I personally do not know how to do hair however, Ashley kindly took the time to show me how to properly maintain my hair throughout the week. I just had the Itchy scalp treatment at Lola Rosa in Lanham. Jasminn provided me with so much care! I had never been to a head spa before, but it was recommended to me, so I thought I would check it out. It was one of the most relaxing treatments I have ever had. Jasminn personalized the products she used for me based on my scalp analysis. She made sure the room was the perfect temperature and kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable. The scalp massage was wonderful. The products had that wonderful tingly feeling and everything smelled so good. I could sit under the water halo all day. It was so relaxing. She also included a wonderful shoulder massage at the end. She texted me the products she used at the end with a link to purchase them on Amazon. Next Day Concrete and Masonry did a great job redoing our driveway. They were prompt on an estimate and showed up on time to do the work. They listened carefully to our requirements and followed them completely (like not disturbing tree roots that were next to the driveway). They put in an extremely long day and got almost all the work done. They came the next day and finished everything, including doing some extras that made the whole project look even better. When I first met Mr.Jones he was very professional and knowledgeable and what i was asking for in my new kitchen. In my old kitchen I was very unhappy cooking on my old stove and cleaning grease or sauce off the wall when it would splatter, I had no counter space and i was tired deciding which food i should cook first in the oven so the other food wouldn't get cold. Mr Jones understood what i wanted, where I wanted it and if what i wanted would fit my kitchen layout. In my new kitchen everything flows so beautifully, I enjoy coming down every morning into my new kitchen and starting my day.
