I was so frustrated looking for a place to bring my puppy that wasn’t in DC proper but close enough for me to include in my 2x a week commute to the city. Central Bark ended up being the best place! Not only can my puppy safely engage with others but I also get a much needed break and the CUTEST update with a report card at pickup.“

“I took my 12 month Yorkie to Dr. D for her first visit. Before I went. I read the reviews and some of them were horrible. I went in with an open mind and boy I’m glad I did. They gave me the best experience. The front desk staff were very nice, knowledgeable able, and welcoming. We went to the back to meet the Doctor and he was welcoming and nice. As he checked my pup he asked if I had concerns and addressed them. I walked out very pleased with our experience. Thanks to the caring staff we’ve found our vet home,“

“We loved working with Susie! Our newly adopted dog had some issues with demand barking, not being able to relax, etc. Through training sessions with Susie we learned a number of strategies and commands (and fun games) that helped our pup settle in to her new home! Susie always had tips and tricks no matter the issues we brought up and it’s clear Susie has a lot of experience. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for training or pet sitting services!“

“Aside from some punctuality issues due to the snow, their rates are very competitive and the bedside manner of care seems to be genuine and professional. My dog needed 2 incisors removed from what I thought was only 1. Someone needs to recommend volunteers here because they are short staffed. Anyway so far so good when it comes to the service my dog received. Recommended. I’ll be back and hopefully they can continue doing good work on my beloved pet.“

“Capital Kitty takes wonderful care of my big cat with a bigger personality! At Capital Kitty, each cat gets its own cozy little kennel. The staff rotates through the cats to let them out individually to explore, play, and get extra attention throughout the day. They send daily photos and report cards, perfect for an anxious parent like me. The staff is caring, attentive, and communicative. My cat always comes home healthy and happy. I have nothing but good things to say about Capital Kitty and the wonderful people who work there!“

“Onyx loves Dogtopia!! He knows when we're on our way to dogtopia. He gets so excited and he practically jumps out of his leash, running to go into the dog daycare. He's active non-stop. He loves his doggy friends he has made and he is playing non-stop while he's at daycare. I love that they have options to serve your dog food. “My little dog LOVES going to this daycare! We live a mile away and when she senses we're walking here, she gets a bounce in her step. And when we walk inside, she squeals with joy like a piglet to see all her friends. The staff are good to her and she loves them. She comes home very tired from all the socializing. It's a good setup.“

“My dog has severe separation anxiety, and this is the only place we’ve ever boarded her where she hasn’t destroyed everything she owns. She actually gets really excited when we pull in the driveway, and she realizes where she’s going; then she jumps out of the car so she can run to Mr. Whiteleather. He takes excellent care of her, and she absolutely loves him. I’m happy because Mr. Whiteleather is kind and the price is right. But mostly we continue coming because our dog loves it so much. Be prepared to show copies of your vet records each time and to pay with cash/check.“
