Kaiser Permanente South Baltimore County Medical Center provides excellent care with doctors like Dr. Ernest S. Mavunga, who is very patient and extremely detailed. Patients report always receiving excellent care and never having issues with doctors or staff. A knee injection with cortisone was painless, and an MRI technician named Kelly was very understanding, knowledgeable, and professional, keeping patients laughing and helping them feel comfortable and informed. However, some experiences vary; one patient felt they were given way too much anesthesia and were rushed out the door, unable to function or walk. The facility has a public cafeteria inside the building, parking in a covered garage, and public transportation.
Dr. Ernest S. Mavunga is an excellent doctor. Very patient. Extremely detailed, as it was necessary for me. Most doctors will rush their patients out the door. Not him. Thank you Dr. Mavunga.
My procedure went great, the only problem I have is I feel like I was given way too much anesthesia and I really couldn't do anything, I felt like I was rushed out the door and I shouldn't have with the amount of anesthesia still in my body. I had the same procedure done 7 months prior and was able to function and talk and walk. This go around was completely different and I don't feel that patients should be pushed out like that to make room for other patients coming into recovery. I honestly looked and felt like an addict just thrown out to make room for other important people.
My Imaging Technician Kelly was very understanding to my fears and knowledgeable with the MRI machine. He helped me adjust to the machine and kept me laughing. Thank you Kelly for your extraordinary service, laughter, and recommendation of Pizza 786.
