“Tom has been great to work with on our kitchen renovation project. He guided us with the design and we are thrilled with it. The craftsmanship and work is excellent and Tom doesn’t upcharge for things like soft close and plywood. He just does it right from the start. He had the patience and diplomacy required to deal with the other contractors (and us) not always having their jobs done on time. He also helped us complete other projects (like hanging the stove hood) that weren’t really in the spec of his job but he’s just such a nice guy that he pitched in to get it done. He’s a super nice and trustworthy person that you won’t mind having around your home even if you can’t be there when he’s working. Our experience was so good that we are already planning other projects for Tom.

“Kitchens are a big investment and so it took me a long time to pull the trigger on updating our tired, too small kitchen. I tried several companies and different designs. I heard about Kenwood through one of the kitchen showrooms and stopped by their Columbia showroom. I met Kate Zahradnik and instantly felt as if I was respected and my ideas were heard. I interviewed 4 designers total and decided to go with Kenwood. They are a quality company which stands behind their work. The design process was just right for me. Kate didn't pressure me but gently kept me on track. She listened to my concerns and made a plan which came within our budget. She also reassured me about my countertop choice giving me the courage to end up with a show-stopping design. The project manager, Mike Kerns, kept the project moving at the projected pace and finished on schedule and on budget. Mike also returned and fixed a problem I had with the garbage disposal. Kate designed a kitchen that is aesthetically beautiful and amazingly functional. By removing a peninsula and adding a few feet to my existing kitchen I now have loads of storage, counter space, and a design which flows well for a single cook or for a crowd (I have a largish family). To say I am pleased is an understatement. From start to finish this was an excellent experience. The subcontractors were great craftsmen and were respectful and always on time. I wish all my home improvement projects could go as smoothly.“
